The banned Khalistani organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has accused the Russian Embassy in Canada of involvement in the assassination of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
On Wednesday, December 18, SFJ alleged that the Russian Embassy had hacked Nijjar’s Telegram account in May 2023 and shared the collected information with India’s intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

The group also accused the Russian Embassy of providing RAW with the location of terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and assisting in a “foiled murder-for-hire plot.”
Pannun further alleged that senior Indian diplomats stationed in the United States and Canada are operating surveillance and spy networks to “monitor” and “suppress” Khalistani activities in these countries.
In addition, Sikhs for Justice announced a $25,000 reward for information on the whereabouts of Russian Ambassador Oleg V. Stepanov in Canada and Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra in the United States.
Previously, Pannun had threatened to target Russian diplomatic missions worldwide, as well as media outlets RT India and Sputnik India, accusing them of running a “disinformation campaign” against the Khalistan movement.
Russian Embassy's Response
The Russian Embassy in Canada has dismissed the bizarre allegations made by the banned Khalistani terrorist group.
In a statement, it was clarified, “We will raise the issue of this group’s dangerous activities with Global Affairs Canada and the RCMP. Tracking chiefs of foreign missions and offering a reward for such actions is absolutely unacceptable and could be seen as a step toward planning a terrorist attack.”
“We will request law enforcement action against this group and also seek enhanced protection for the Embassy, as required by the Government of Canada under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations,” the embassy further added.
