Reply to Ashutosh on Mamta Banerjee’s PM candidature

Last month, Ashutosh, ex-AAP spokesperson and a part time media person wrote an article for NDTV predicting Mamta Banerjee the next PM candidate. Ashutosh, whose only job for the last 7 years has been to cry in the TV debates. And yes, sometimes he writes for bankrupt media houses whose lords are running helter-skelter on the charges of money laundering. Pity they are not getting their paychecks from Italian mafia family.

Nevertheless, Ashutosh has written an article where a reader can sense his happiness that knows no limits with the hallucination of Bengali Didi becoming PM of the nation.

Ashutosh looks so desperate to defeat Modi, as if Mamta Didi is going to give him tons of Rosogullas and Mishti Dohi.

He says, “Will Mamata Banerjee emerge as the Opposition's consensus candidate for Prime Minister in 2024? In her, have the anti-BJP parties found the leader for whom they have long been searching?” According to Ashutosh, “These are the questions being asked after her first visit to Delhi in two years”. Would Ashutosh like to tell who are those asking such questions - common man or the coterie of anti-BJP parties or the very famous left-dominated ‘liberandu’ gang?

He continues and says it is the “Indicative of the new beginning”. What sort of new beginning? To slaughter Hindus elsewhere similar to the slaughter of Bengali Hindus in West Bengal

He laments and says, “Since 2014, Indian democracy has been a one-way affair”. Well, Ashutosh should blame it on lethargic Pappu and his allies who have barely done anything to play their role as a constructive opposition.

After this, he says, “Opposition is unable to take him (Modi) on effectively even on large scandals or basic issues like unemployment”. Ashutosh should fathom that not a single charge of corruption has been found true in the last seven years of the NDA government in the country probably because there’s no family running the country, there’s a Karmayogi running the country. Ashutosh’s ex-lord Kejriwal tried to allege the central government of corruption but what did he get in 2019, a duck just. It makes me laugh how a person talks about scandal whose party (AAP) members were involved in sex scandals on the pretext of making ration cards. Coming to unemployment, just because Ashutosh is not willing to see the truth he keeps on repeating there’s unemployment.

Yes, COVID-19 has had its implications which is improving every day. According to a Times of India article, India's top three IT companies -- TCS, Infosys and Wipro -- are set to roll out around 1.05 lakh job offers in the financial year 2021-22. Ashutosh needs to come out of his limited space and have some life.

Next, he says, “Mamata Banerjee generated a buzz which has not been characteristic of the Opposition”. Indeed she has generated a buzz by butchering and raping thousands of Hindus since 2 May till date. Even CBI officials were attacked when they went to investigate the violence in West Bengal.

He talks about three factors to consider about her role. “Firstly, her succulent victory in the Bengal election in May shook up both the BJP and more importantly, the Opposition”. Indeed it was a succulent victory with her mouth full of Hindus’ blood. However, I completely disagree with Ashutosh that it shook BJP because had that been the case BJP would have done everything possible to protect its party workers from getting raped and brutally murdered. Yes, his words could be true for opposition parties as they have vanished now.

Then he says, “The 66-year-old proved that Narendra Modi is not invincible, even when the centre uses all the agencies at its disposal to circle an opponent”. It’s true that Narendra Modi is not invincible and that’s good for a healthy democracy. It won’t be in the favour of a healthy democracy to see a single party ruling the entire nation. This is what PM Modi himself understands and that’s why he has given cabinet berths to many NDA allies in his latest reshuffle despite BJP itself capable of forming a government due to an absolute majority in 2014 and 2019 without any coalition in the centre and in many states.

Further, he says, “Modi and Amit Shah left no stone unturned in the campaign for Bengal'' Yes indeed. Due to this, BJP won 77 seats, a phenomenal jump of 74 seats and a whopping rise in vote percentage from 10.16% in 2016 to 38.13% in 2021, a jump of 27.9%. When was the last time Ashutosh saw such a drastic vote swing? Even he won’t remember. Even his ex-lord Kejriwal could see a vote swing of 24.8% in 2015 Delhi assembly elections. That too when Congress party had completely surrendered its Muslim vote base before AAP and deliberaly a leadership crisis was created in DPCC. It was in the news that many Muslim Congress party members had secretly campaigned for AAP in 2015.

Then he blames the media for predicting landslide victory in the West Bengal assembly elections 2021. “With the help of compromised media, the BJP tried to project an ignominious result for Mamata.” Well, exit polls have had a tendency to show inflated figures and sometimes they even undermine the results. The Bihar assembly election result is a solid example. Almost every media house had predicted a thumping majority in the favour of RJD but what came out is before us. Similarly, Ashutosh’s ex-lord and probably Ashutosh himself was elated a lot after watching many exit polls predicting a two-third majority for AAP in 2022 Punjab elections but then what happened is before everyone. So, it’s nothing new. Even in 2019, many revolutionary media persons had predicted 100-120 seats to NDA and see what happened. So, assuming that Ashutosh is a sane journalist, he should avoid wasting his time on Exit polls.

He then questions investigative agencies and constitutional institutions and says, “From vulgar polarisation to personal attacks on her to the misuse of investigative agencies and constitutional institutions, every trick available in the book was used - and finally, it mattered not a jot”. According to Ashutosh, polarisation becomes vulgar when Hindu voters come out and vote BJP in large numbers..But when Hindu voters vote TMC that’s secularism. Slow claps for Ashutosh! As far as the misuse of investigative agencies and constitutional institutions are concerned, every time a non-BJP political party is surrounded by corruption charges, it blames BJP for misusing investigative agencies. There’s nothing new in that. Her nephew Abhishek Banerjee is suspect of devoring thousands of crores in Sharada chit fund. Also, there’s a culture of cut money rampant in West Bengal. Also, she has been found offering shelter to illegal Rohingya immigrants and that’s some serious charge as the porous borders could be used for cross-border terrorism. So, why should investigative agencies not be used?

He says Mamta improved her vote share by five percent. Well, that’s not a big deal. Providing shelter to Rohingya Muslims for vote bank and making their ration card for free was meant to help her in gaining votes. Thousands of Rohingya Muslims have crossed the border and become a permanent citizen of India by the help of TMC’s vote bank politics.

Then he comes out with the second factor. “Secondly, Mamata refused to be intimidated”. He quotes Mamta during her campaign, "Jo dar gaya, so mar gaya" (if one is scared, it's all over). “Mamata is a street-fighter.” Intimidated by what? Was BJP or Modi asking for ransom money? I guess no. Yes, she is a street-fighter which is very much evident from her foul language used in the West Bengal assembly elections against honourable PM Modi and BJP leaders in Bengal.

“While she was a young member of the Congress, she stood out because she refused to be intimidated by the CPM's violent tactics in Bengal. She was attacked physically on different occasions; each time, she fought back with vigour and vengeance.”This is indeed praiseworthy that she fought years of hooliganism of CPM but unfortunately nothing much has changed ever since she became the CM of West Bengal and she has carried forward the trademark hooliganism of Communists. Similar to CPM, she has believed in silencing her opponents by means of violence. This was very much evident during the recent assembly elections. Thousands of BJP workers and supporters have been killed since 2 May which depicts a clear case of vendetta politics. So, Ashutosh should avoid making a hero/heroine out of an assassin.

“Even in this election, her leg was injured - and she continued her campaign in a wheelchair with her leg in a plaster.” This is in the public domain that her leg injury was a sham to gain the sympathy of locals which fortunately worked in her favour.

“Mamata's aggression is infectious”. Irony is that Ashutosh finds Mamata’s aggression infectious while Modi’s becomes communal and a threat to secular fabric.

“Even a veteran like Sharad Pawar can't match her on this count.” Of course, his regime didn’t lead to the murders of thousands of Hindus.

“Mamata's meeting with Sonia Gandhi sends an important message to Congress-haters and those who advocate bypassing the party for a 'Federal Front'.” In the past, there have been several attempts to make such a Federal Front and we have seen how many times they have failed. This is because every coalition partner of such a front dreams of becoming PM of the nation ultimately leading to the rupture of such fronts.

“The government has been unable to provide a clear answer on whether it bought the Israeli software. There is a weakness here that can be built on.” Out of nowhere, Ashutosh brings out Israeli software Pegasus. This is Rahul Gandhi’s another attempt at getting rebuked by the Supreme Court after Rafael. Hopefully Ashutosh will get his answer soon. What has Mamta to do with it, she should first come clean out of Sharda scam.

“Mamata of today is a different leader. She has successfully led West Bengal for the last ten years.” Yes, she is a different leader. In her achievement, we have seen slaughters of opponents, cross-border terrorism, bomb factories in Malda, forced conversions of Hindus, persecutions of Hindus, cattle smuggling, fake currency nexus, open cow slaughters. Almost everything that we get to see in Islamic country Bangladesh.

“In welcoming back Trinamool leaders who abandoned her for the BJP ahead of the election, she has shown a new maturity and flexibility.” Those leaders had no choice as they were facing life threats from TMC goons. So, they had to come back to the TMC fold.
