Recognizing the collective efforts across various spheres, including governance, politics, and social work, PM Modi, who serves as the Member of Parliament from Varanasi, affirmed his steadfast dedication to this cause. Expressing optimism about India's future, he asserted that the united commitment of the country's 1.4 billion citizens holds the power to propel the nation towards comprehensive development by the targeted year of 2047.

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra

Viksit Bharat is a national initiative aimed at achieving the saturation of flagship government schemes. Prime Minister Modi flagged off this yatra in five states, including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram. 


The yatra is driven by several pivotal objectives, which encompass reaching out to the unreached, disseminating crucial information, fostering awareness, engaging with citizens to gain insights, and enrolling individuals who stand to benefit from various initiatives. The primary aim is to guarantee that the advantages of government schemes extend to the farthest corners and the most marginalized segments of society.



PM Modi's Interaction with Beneficiaries

During the event, Prime Minister Modi engaged with beneficiaries of various government schemes, including the 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.' 


He expressed the yatra as a means of self-assessment, a way to determine whether the promises made by the government were fulfilled or not. The PM highlighted the importance of government schemes reaching people without any obstacles, emphasizing that individuals should not have to chase the government for benefits.


Government's Role in Fulfilling Aspirations

PM Modi underscored the government's role in fulfilling the aspirations of the people. He stated that citizens should not need to run after the government, and schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should be executed seamlessly. Modi claimed that, since the initiation of the yatra, about four crore families have obtained permanent houses.


Project Launch and Development Initiatives

As part of the two-day visit, Prime Minister Modi launched 37 projects worth over Rs 19,000 crore for the development of Varanasi. These projects encompass various sectors, contributing to the overall growth and progress of the constituency and the Purvanchal region.

Cultural Engagement

In addition to the official engagements, PM Modi participated in the second edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam at the Namo Ghat and flagged off the Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express, a train connecting Kanyakumari and Varanasi. 


The Kashi Tamil Sangamam, scheduled from December 17-31, is set to witness the participation of 1,400 dignitaries from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, promoting cultural exchange and strengthening ties between different regions of India.


National Endeavor and Personal Satisfaction

PM Modi emphasized that the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' is a national endeavor transcending political affiliations. He encouraged people to directly participate in this initiative, stating that those who merely read about it in newspapers are missing out on something crucial. 


The Prime Minister expressed personal satisfaction in being able to attend various facets of the yatra, showcasing its significance in his vision for a developed and prosperous India by 2047.
